Climate, soil types or intended use all come into consideration when choosing the right seed blend for your job. These site specific factors quite often mean “off the shelf” seed mixes are not the best option.

Calculations for all our custom seed mixes use the viable seed count of each species rather than the seed weight of each species.
Seed weights can be very deceiving and may not provide the coverage being sought. For example 1kg of Wallaby Grass contains at least 10 times more viable seed than 1kg of Kangaroo Grass, so a 50/50 mix by weight will not give you 50/50 mix of seeds on the ground.
